Tot-School

Tot School

RockerTot is currently 22 months old.

----------------------------
Well, I was a slacker this week on our letters and numbers theme, so we'll continue with Cc, Ee & 1,2 next week. Hey, it's not like we're on a tight schedule, right??
----------------------------

This made me laugh. After the Easter egg hunt at Mamoo's house, RockerTot made his own tot-school activity by transferring dirt from one planter to another with a plastic shovel.

----------------------------

Placing the bag clips (3 for $1.00 at the Dollar General Store) on the color wheel I made for him (markers and card stock). He's getting better at this one!

----------------------------

My lopsided attempt at a tot-school pancake breakfast. I need to get a condiment squirt dispenser (yes, the technical term) to do pancake art. Oh well, RockerTot preferred the "little circle" silver dollar pancakes anyway.

----------------------------

He sure was concentrating hard on his linking monkeys (Canimals, $1.00 at the Dollar Tree).

----------------------------

I helped RockerTot build some triangles with RockerBoy's Magnetix (closely supervised, of course.. there are small pieces to this)..

----------------------------

I hadn't thought to bring out Cootie in a while. It's a great fine motor activity and RockerTot is always so proud of his creations.

----------------------------

... and yet another "pasta in the Mrs. Dash shaker" moment (seriously, he LOVES doing this)...

----------------------------

There was a lot of creative play this week. There always is, but I managed to snap a few photos:

... choo-choos are definite tot-school...

... so are dinosaurs... RockerTot received this play set in his Easter basket. He is crazy about dinosaurs.

RockerDad found this dinosaur plate at The Dollar Tree and just had to get it.

----------------------------

Here are a few of his gross motor skills and outdoor activities from this week:

He always wants to play "tee ball" when we go outside. He grabbed the batting helmet and dragged the tee out of our outbuilding. (We walked down the road to see the "moo cows" a few minutes later and he refused to remove the batting helmet.. even in his stroller. I suppose the neighbors think we're terrified that he might get hurt.)

RockerTot loves to go to the pond with RockerDad. His favorite part is throwing rocks into the water... sometimes he bites off more than he can chew..

Read-Alouds
I have to be honest, I cannot remember which books we've read this week. My weeks are beginning to run together. I'll be more diligent next week, I promise.

----------------------------

As always, I'll end with my favorite photo from this week.

RockerDad caught him in the act of cleaning out the fridge. It appears that he was lining the condiments up according to height.

  1. Awesome week! I'll have to remember the idea of putting it in a squeeze jar. Could make some interesting pancakes.

  6. H. S. Burrow, you are by no means a slacker. You have BIG school to teach. Tot School is a breeze.. sometimes I just forget it's happening.
