Read-Alouds

Yep... singular. There simply wasn't room in our mini-van to bring books along to IL (you can read about our whirlwind life-changes here). We only brought one. I have to contact the local library to find out what is required to obtain a library card. I'm also on the lookout for used book stores and such.

"The Beginners Bible"
Karyn Henley

We love this book of Bible stories. Robbie enjoys and understands the writing and loves to talk about the illustrations. I think this is a great Bible for preschool and a fun segue-way into our Golden Children's Bible when he's ready.

While Robbie isn't reading this himself yet, he quite often reads a sentence here or there (or, on occasion, a whole page). I always initiate a mini-narration from him when we're finished so that I know he understood the story.

  1. I think we've got a copy of this one. I need to dig it out for my new reader to read! Thanks for linking up to Read Aloud Thursday!
