Here are a few of the new, interesting and/or favorite read-alouds from the past week.

Mama, Do You Love Me?

"Mama, Do You Love Me?"
Barbara M. Joosse

As you would expect, this book is about a child asking how much her Mama loves her. It was a sweet read, but a short one. There were many Inuit words and other things to spark discussions and further readings, though.

Brave Brush-Tail Possum

"Brave Brush-Tail Possum"
Diane Redfield Massie

I picked this up at a used book store for $1.00 some time ago. Robbie woke this morning at 5 am and asked for a story, so I grabbed this one. It was an entertaining tale about a frightened possum who is trying to be brave. I'd say we'll read this again.

Of course, we read more than these, but many have been listed before or weren't worth a report.

  1. Thanks for joining WMCIR! I have never heard of that second book, and it sounds interesting. We'll check to see if our library has it.
