These are a few of the books we enjoyed this week.
Sam McBratney
Judith Viorst
H.A. Rey

All of the books above can be found in "The 20th Century Children's Book Treasury"
One or two pages from this per day...
Blanche Fisher Wright (Illustrator)
I almost always initiate a mini-narration from him when we're finished so that I know he understood the story and we discuss the story during and after reading it. Of course, we read more than these, but many have been listed before, will be blogged about at a later date or weren't worth a report.
All classics! Thanks for linking up!
ReplyDeleteAlexander and the Terrible Horrible No Good Very Bad Day is one of my all time faves- I never get tired of reading it!
ReplyDeleteGuess How Much I Love You was one of our all time favorites when the kids were smaller - we still quote from the book a few years later!
ReplyDeleteA great list of classics. It is time to introduce them to my younger daughter.
ReplyDeleteGreat books! Miss Nelson is Missing has always been a favorite of mine.
ReplyDeleteWe read all of these books except the last one by Marshall. We love classic children literature. Too bad daughter is growing out of some of it. Thanks for joining WMCIR!
