Weekly Wrap-Up

Nursery School Wrap Up

Robbie is 3.5 years old.

We have moved twice in the past week-and-a-half, so our lives have been a bit crazy. We are finally getting settled into our new space. I'm happy to say that Robbie has a school/play area here! I'm still tweaking our new digs, but when I've made some progress, I'll post some pics!!

intentional learning

Pre-READING

Our formal reading instruction time has been a bit lax, but he's still making progress on his own. We're still looking for appropriate "readers" for him (he doesn't care for the Bob Books anymore). I'll post if we find anything he likes that fits the bill.

Here is a lone shot of him spelling some simple words from the pictures in his Explode the Code book. His writing ability is (appropriately) not as developed as his reading and spelling abilities, so I allow him to use magnetic letter tiles to spell the words when he chooses to do these pages.

Pre-WRITING

Fine motor skills...

Pre-MATH

We started our Count Up to Christmas daily activities. I hope to have more to share about our daily number/quantity/math activities next week.

OTHER

Mosaic art...

Watercolor painting...

Geography fun...

playful learning

Playing Mario Kart Wii with his cousins Brittany and LJ...

Riding his bike while he can (the snow should be here soon)...

  2. Curious as to why you've moved twice in the past week and a half... but it looks like learning went well in the midst of all the stress!
