Weekly Wrap-Up

Nursery School Wrap Up

It seems that our lives are nothing but one big change after another these days. Well, we seem to be gearing up for yet another one soon. I hope that our lives will gain some sense of normalcy and stability soon. :)

Theme for our studies this week
None... we're not really "theme" people. We try sometimes, but neither of us seem to care for themes very much. I doubt we'll really be unit studies people.

Great books we read together
Mike Mulligan and His Steam Shovel
Blueberries for Sal
Town Mouse and Country Mouse
Curious George Gets a Medal
Roxaboxen
Gulliver in Lilliput
The King's Stilts

Books Robbie read to me
Pop Fox
Hop in the Cab
The Hot Pot
Tim and Sam
parts of The Cat in the Hat

One lesson or interesting fact we learned
We didn't really discuss it, but Robbie is really into the thought of hibernation this week.

As Mom/teacher, I found this week to be
...different... he found his old Singapore and Horizons Math workbooks and did 18 pages in one sitting... Oh, and he decided to start drawing and coloring again. He had lost any and all interest about a year ago.

A favorite hands-on project
...playing with bubbles in the sink

We laughed when
We took turns spouting off impromptu poetry using silly rhymes.

Craft idea for this week
No crafting here... Robbie was too busy drawing almost non-stop.

I am praying for my child to
Have a place to truly call home.

My favorite new resource is
hmmmm.. I'm not sure... I've been visiting the Sonlight site a lot for book ideas.

Pic of the week
No pics this week. :(
