Robbie in each state we drove through. This was a fun way to learn a bit of U.S. geography. |
Back yard fun at great-grandma's house...
...trying to make fire with sticks, roasting marshmallows, watermelon, bouncing and relaxing on the glider. |
Playing with his cousin...
... a two-year-old who wanted to be just like Robbie (and loved to climb on him, too) |
Sightseeing...
... at The Field Museum, The Lego Store and Soldier Field (Da Bears!) |
We saw so many amazing things at The Field Museum that will be relevant to our ancient history studies this year (as well as our life science). I'm sure we'll be looking at those photos over and over again. (I plan to post about our time there.)

We didn't really do anything special for the 4th of July. We just stayed in and ate indoor grill food (it was raining all day). Robbie also read the Benjamin Franklin and George Washington sections of this book:
So, that was our week. How was yours?
