These were most definitely Robbie's favorites from the past week. Neither will be returned to the library today.
Marjorie Flack & Kurt Wiese
I remember this book from my childhood. It is on virtually every read-aloud list for preschool/kindergarten I've seen. It has been on my "to buy" list for quite some time, but I always forgot to simply get it from the library. Now that I have, I think we'll definitely have to add it to our home library. Robbie has asked for this one many times this week.

This was another gem from the library. It doesn't deal with rocks on a geological level, but on a level that we can all relate to. It describes many kinds of rocks: skipping rocks, sifting rocks, walking rocks, memory rocks, etc. Robbie enjoyed this one and so did I. (It could be a great way to introduce/reinforce many descriptive terms.) I plan to take Robbie out this weekend to try to find at least one of each kind of rock described.
Of course, we read more than these, but many have been listed before, will be blogged about at a later date or weren't worth a report.
We love The Story of Ping - what a great book! My husband recently went to China for business & this was one of the books we grabbed from our library to learn a bit about China!
