Here are a few of the new, interesting and/or favorite read-alouds from the past week.
Barbara M. Joosse
As you would expect, this book is about a child asking how much her Mama loves her. It was a sweet read, but a short one. There were many Inuit words and other things to spark discussions and further readings, though.
Diane Redfield Massie
I picked this up at a used book store for $1.00 some time ago. Robbie woke this morning at 5 am and asked for a story, so I grabbed this one. It was an entertaining tale about a frightened possum who is trying to be brave. I'd say we'll read this again.
Of course, we read more than these, but many have been listed before or weren't worth a report.

Thanks for joining WMCIR! I have never heard of that second book, and it sounds interesting. We'll check to see if our library has it.
ReplyDeleteThe second book sounds like one that I will have to look for!
ReplyDeleteI believe we've read the first one, but I've never seen the second one. It looks interesting!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for linking up to Read Aloud Thursday!
