Growing Shamrocks: Part One

Science Corner

>I picked up this shamrock growing kit in the dollar section of Target.

We planted the seeds on the same day that RockerTot couldn't put his magnifying glass down. :)

It came with a tiny (shot glass sized) terra cotta pot, seed packet, dehydrated dirt "tablet" and instructions.

We placed the dirt tablet in a bowl with 3 tablespoons of lukewarm water...

... and it expanded very quickly (less than 90 seconds... we both enjoyed watching it grow as the water was absorbed).

I couldn't take pictures of the sowing of the seeds because I had to be involved, but I can tell you that he planted WAAAAAAAY more than the 10 that were recommended.

We'll update as they grow.
